Aging isn't for whimps.......so the book says.....

Those of us who are aging would probably concur,  as we ourselves are moving in that direction, but also watching out parents  age as well....

It feels sometimes like you are torn in pieces about which way to go,....spend time with your own kids....spend time with others....spend time with parents.     .......what's the right decision.???  And there is just so much time and energy to spend...false guilt, real guilt assails us no matter which way we turn....  We all want the peace with the right decisions....

Genesis 15:15
You, however, will go to your ancestors in peace and be buried at a good old age.

Leviticus 19:32
“‘Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord.

Ruth 4:15a. .....He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. ......

1 Kings 14:4b...... his sight was gone because of his age.

 1 Kings 15:23b.... In his old age, however, his feet became diseased.

1 Chronicles 29:28a......He died at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honor....

Job 12:12
Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?

Job 32:7
I thought, ‘Age should speak; advanced years should teach wisdom.’

Job 32:9
It is not only the old who are wise, not only the aged who understand what is right.

Psalm 92:14
They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,

Proverbs 17:6
Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.

Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

These are such a picture of getting old
Ecclesiastes 121:1-5, 13
1Remember your Creator
    in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
    and the years approach when you will say,
    “I find no pleasure in them”—
2 before the sun and the light
    and the moon and the stars grow dark,
    and the clouds return after the rain;.....dim eyes
3 when the keepers of the house tremble,
    and the strong men stoop,......our frame , bones , grow weak or stooped
when the grinders cease because they are few,.....our teeth
    and those looking through the windows grow dim;....our sight
4 when the doors to the street are closed
    and the sound of grinding fades;
when people rise up at the sound of birds,.....wake up early, but songs are fading
    but all their songs grow faint;
5 when people are afraid of heights
    and of dangers in the streets;.....don't want to fall or fear dark
when the almond tree blossoms
    and the grasshopper drags itself along
    and desire no longer is stirred.......bodily desires less
Then people go to their eternal home
    and mourners go about the streets......
13 Now all has been heard;
    here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
    for this is the duty of all mankind.

The best one.... Is this.....
Jude 124 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

No. Aging is not easy, fun....more aches, pains, less thoughts or clear thinking....but we can put our faith in Him who sustains us...even when we are fearful, in pain,.....aging....
