In times like these, God has reminded me so much of an attitude of gratitude as well as contrasts....
The world is filled with contrasts :
-night, day
-black , white
-land, sea
-Courageous, cowardly
-worry, peace
-painful, painlessness
-life, death
-good, bad
-happy, sad
-single, many
- married, unmarried
-man, woman
-cat, dog
- peace, unrest
-wet, dry
-slothfulness, diligence
-foolish, wise
-obedience, rebelliousness
-eternity, day
-God's time, man's time
-God's thoughts, man's thoughts
-pride, humility
-saved, unsaved
-mourning, joy
-heaven, earth
-looking forward, looking back..
-etc
-etc
-etc
Not only is the world filled with contrasts, the Bible is filled with them from beginning to end. Life is filled with them......some just are.....some we can choose....Some of them we witness...some we have to opportunity to live with or through....some are in preparation for the other.....some are profound ......some, mundane .......
But, as before, in all things,,give thanks.......
Genesis 1. The whole chapter...
Galatians 5:19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
