One of the destination spots on Maui is Haleakala crater, a National Park, on the south end of the island...driving up and up and up, the vistas are amazing, and you ooh and ahh, wishing there were more turnouts for awe inspiring photo shoots...
You can see both sides of the island, hundreds of acres of sugarcane, the huge windmills, the towns below, the roads, the humanity..the Pacific Ocean all around....then you drive above the clouds and see nothing to everything as the clouds swirl and blow, first one way and the another.
Driving further up the switchback road, the landscape changes to "moonscape", with little vegetation , and lots of rocks of all sizes, colors...a few bushes that glisten with their spires of silver branches, some with their hundred year flowers, others who are withering away after their showcase flowers...
10,053 feet above sea level at the top....looking down into the crater which was covered with clouds, or looking toward the surrounding sea, blessings abound...
These verses so remind me of that scene...blessings, quaking,,righteousness.....drinks of rain from heaven....foaming waters of the sea below.....power and strength....
Pictures.....God 's word is full of pictures and then He illuminates them with real experiences....both with beauty, and real life....
Thank YOU so much for your bounty, Your beauty, Your creation, truths through the sites and insights you have allowed in my life and so may others. Your word is truly for all of life....it's mountain tops and valleys...it quakings and peaceful restoration ....
