The Word...

The Word.....

How would you feel if you wrote everyday, through the years, centuries, to the whole world about how to live and how to love, how to know you,,,,and no one read it???  

Your letters were ignored, misinterpreted, burned, torn apart, laughed at, and then people had the audacity to say they knew you but had never communicated, read, listened to, watched for you and what your letters said weren't true????

In one Bible story, the reader reads the Word and the king, sits and tears it apart piece by piece and throws it into the fire.....others laugh at it, 

Through the ages, The Word has been fought over, misinterpreted and then fought over, piled into city squares and burned, hidden in many different ways to preserve, broadcast throughout the world,  translated into hundreds of languages....

People have died for it, been burned at the stake for it, sung it, lived it, believed it,  loved it...

But just having the Bible in our possession, sitting on a shelf doesn't help...reading, thinking about , meditating upon it..living it , believing that it is truly God's personal letter to us, accepting Jesus as our Savior, Lord, Author, Creator,  Truth bearer, Path finder, Illuminator.....Everything....Knowing that Only He can take my and everyones sins....died for me..and everyone who believes..rose again ....

it has been said that if we read three chapters six days and five one day, we can read through the whole Bible...it is worth the try...effort, thought...

Or read,asking God to stop you on a passage, verse.  What is he saying to me personally???

Or just taking a time and reading the New Testament  or the old....

Or reading through the psalms and Proverbs...

Why not take the challenge??? Why not read those words that have been penned for each of us...??

Then LIVING... it....be doers of the Word and not hears only....James

2Tim 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Psa 119:89 Your word, Lord, is eternal;

    it stands firm in the heavens.......plus more of this Psalm....

Matthew 4:4

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
