Escaped

Escaped....

Every time I walk past this flower, it begs to be photographed, it's escape told to the world...no, I don't think flowers can talk, but the picture can...you know, "a picture is worth a thousand words". It looks through the fence into an outside world, not seen by the others contained inside the boarded fence....their prison.....the title of the picture could be "escaped",.....

out of the boundaries , out of the constraints of the others......or ourselves.....outside the envelope.....freedom.....liberated....

I have a friend whose body  is bound to a wheel chair, but she is not....she is free to think, say, write, draw,,....or another who is bound in a role for which she was not necessarily prepared for, but she is free to learn new things, new adventures in life...

We long for freedom, with no limits, only to be bound by our thoughts, actions, consequences, bodies, ......

Our freedom may come at a cost, something we give up, or someone else for us.....

Christ came to set us free....but it cost Him immeasurably.....we laugh in His face by refusing
His free gift....thank you for Your free gift given so freely to us....help us know , count the cost .....of our freedom in You....You have given your Spirit as a seal of that gift....help me not to negate Him or His truth by my words, actions, heart or my desire for the world's "freedom"......

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

Hebrews 2:14,15
14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

James 1:25
But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

James 2:12
Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom,
