A skunk went by last night......

The skunk went by last night......

About every 4-6 weeks, a skunk wanders by the neighborhood in the night....we had them in Nevada also.  About the same routine each time...the smell gives the small animal away...for some reason, they have to spray something......I guess so we know they have made their journey through  the area.....

But, thinking about them,   They are small, innocent looking animals....with great "power"...

Made me ponder small things, daily, small amounts of time and how that affects me....

God bears our daily burdens
Gives us daily food
We are to encourage daily...
Gives light to our feet....not the whole picture ahead....
Faith of a mustard seed....
The large ship is steered by a small rudder
The tongue is small, but great power
The lunch of the boy was small, but fed many...
The coins were few, but blessed many by her sacrifice....
Servant was entrusted with much because he stewarded the little well...

There are a lot of other small bits, lines, precepts, manna each day, growing  to large made a difference....
Our children, so small and innocent when born grow into adults, not all at once, but day by day....making a difference in the world...
Our words, actions, small InThe world, can make a difference ......somewhere, either for good or bad....
One light, candle shines brightly in the darkness...

Small......giant ideas, actions , words can make a difference....

Thank you so much for the small things that you send into my life which have reminded me of the infinitely large ways you work in my life....

Psalm 68:19
Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burden

Matthew 6:11
Give us today our bread....

Hebrews 3:13a
But encourage one another daily......

Deuteronomy 8:2 Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. 3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. 4 Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet,  a light on my path.

Proverbs 30:24 “Four things on earth are small,
    yet they are extremely wise:
25 Ants are creatures of little strength,
    yet they store up their food in the summer;
26 hyraxes are creatures of little power,
    yet they make their home in the crags;
27 locusts have no king,
    yet they advance together in ranks;
28 a lizard can be caught with the hand,
    yet it is found in kings’ palaces.
29 “There are three things that are stately in their stride,

Matthew 17:20
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for God.

Luke 19:17
“‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’

Luke 21:2
He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.

John 6:9
“Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”

James 3:4
Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.

James 3:5
Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.
