Title of small group discussion...."live like you are dying".... I thought I had lots of first hand experience with others who were in that situation...I held their hands, read to them , cried with them, as their time here on earth was nearing an end these last four years...finally ending....to tears and laughter, to making memories to memory.....from art to being being with the Artist....from looking at rocks to being with the rock Creator...maker of all that Gold... .from tree farmer to walking with the Tree Creator....what a transformation...for us all...
Live like your are dying....what is important....
"1. Humble yourself before God
2. to Love God
3. To love other"
These are the great commandments.....above all others
Matthew 22:37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
What if we were all given 30 days to live, what would we do, travel? Spend time with family? Party? .........??????
What would we change? Read? Eat??
How do we want to be remembered???
What do we want on our gravestone??? What do we want people to read about us? Or will they even be interested enough to read it? What words will catch their eye as they walk through the cometary? Will others lives be enriched by our presence or final words?
Will we have loved enough, lived enough and what is enough????
What God has planned and completed....
Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
