Walls....

Walls....

There are times in our lives when we "hit the wall" so to speak .  We can't move any further in life, our energy is exhausted, things look impenetrable...

"Im ·pen·e·tra·ble adjective \(ˌ)im-ˈpe-nə-trə-bəl\
: impossible to pass or see through

: impossible to understand

Full Definition of IMPENETRABLE

a :  incapable of being penetrated or pierced
b :  inaccessible to knowledge, reason, or sympathy :  impervious
2
:  incapable of being comprehended :  inscrutable
— im·pen·e·tra·bly  adverb"

....When we are going through unthinkable, inescapable trying times...a wall blocks the way or we can't see the road ahead...we don't understand .....walls.....

I looked up walls in the Bible...there are all kinds,

Joseph was described so fruitful, that his abundance reached over the walls...isn't that a great way to describe him, who was able to withstand the onslaught of his brothers, others  and still keep his faith to later save the Jewish nation....

Genesis 49:22
“Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a spring, whose branches climb over a wall.

The Israelites walked through the sea with walls of water at their side, safely
passing on dry ground...

Exodus 14:22
and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

We put our trust in walls, but they eventually can be pierced...fall down either from the enemy or God miraculously breaks them down as in the walls of Jericho...broken down by the praise of the people...

Deuteronomy 28:52
They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the Lord your God is giving you.

Both the spies and Paul were let down the wall to escape ....both to go on and spread the good news....

Joshua 2:15
So she let them down by a rope through the window, for the house she lived in was part of the city wall.

Ezra and Nehemiah were concerned over the broken walls of Jerusalem ...and Nehemiah led the people to rebuild in record time even with the enemies chiding the people....rebuilding the protection as well as the hearts of the people....

Psalm 122:7
May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.”

Psalm 144:14
our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets.

I love the Isaiah quote....my protection, my name is ever before God...he is the wall of my protection....he is the heart...the soul....mind....as I am to love him with all I am.....the sparkling jewel....the salvation....the eternity....

Isaiah 49:16
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.

Isaiah 54:12
I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.

Revelation 21:19
The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,

Thank YOU, for being my wall, not in a negative way, but in protective, beautiful , fulfilling sense....when I "hit the wall" I am really needing to open the gate for you to work in my life....no me battering again and again..in my own power...strength...
You are the fortress.......
