Personalty types.....

Personality types....

I was talking to someone about Type A personalities the other day...

You may know one or two....
-lists to check off and if something extra is done , we add it to the list, just to it check off
-everything has to have a purpose
-guilt sometimes runs our lives, for those things we do or don't do
-hard to relax, have to purpose in our minds to relax...
-hard to sit and do "nothing"
-wake up and work out things in our minds, sometimes getting up to write it out...
-fearful of new things
-rule followers
-worriers
-want set rewards for set behaviors
-not necessarily  happy with surprises
-aware that they need to lighten up, and work at it

We are the super Proverbs 31 person....or think we are....

I think Moses was a type A, as well as Paul, Martha and maybe Peter...as well as others....we are drawn to those less driven....Moses needed Aaron as a mouth piece cause he was unsure of his speech.....paul needed Barnabas, the encourager....Peter needed simmering down on occasion...Martha, working diligently, needed reminded about the better ....I was drawn to my husband because of his easy laughter, the baby of the family, as opposed to my "only" status....

We, type A's, need those Bible verses about, "Be still", worry, anxiousness, fears, laughter, ...legalism, truth, being open to new things.....not just to memorize  but to put them to use in our daily lives....

Thank YOU for creating us to need You, Your word, others to compliment us...You know us from the inside out, our needs, our desires, our weaknesses, our strengths....we each have a purpose to fulfill, but also lessons to learn no matter what personality type we may be....

Psalm 37:7
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Psalm 46:10
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalm 139:23
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

Matthew 6:27
Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Matthew 6:28
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

Matthew 6:31
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’

Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
