Time and time again…

 Time and time again….Psalm 102

Psalm 102 is subtitled, “ a prayer of one afflicted, when he is faint and pours out his complaint before the Lord”…

Many of us have done the same, especially if you got this Covid in the last couple of years, or any other of the ailments which are rampant any more …we lie in bed, covers rumpled, tissues at hand, …staring at the ceiling or curled tightly, sleeping at odd hours, shaking with fever or chills…ugh…no fun…wondering where God is or simply talking to Him in the darkness or morning light…or listening quietly…

But,  what struck me as I read this through again was the many references to “time”….

Day…

Days…

All the day…

Evening shadow…

Forever…

Generations…

Appointed time…

Yet to be created…

Shortened my days…

Midst of my days..

Years…

Of old…

Pass away…

Years have no end…

The comparison of man’s finite time, shortness of time and God’s infinite time…His foreverness…we have a Constant in our lives if we but hold on to Him…and He never lets us go…

We are a vapor here on earth on the time line of eternity…He holds it all together…

Thank YOU…

 But you, O Lord, are enthroned forever;you are remembered throughout all generations.

Let this be recorded for a generation to come,so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord:

that he looked down from his holy height;from heaven the Lord looked at the earth,

Of old you laid the foundation of the earth,and the heavens are the work of your hands.

but you are the same, and your years have no end.

Ps.102.12,Ps.102.18,Ps.102.19,Ps.102.25,Ps.102.27

 For he knows our frame;he remembers that we are dust.

As for man, his days are like grass;

he flourishes like a flower of the field;

for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,and its place knows it no more.

But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,and his righteousness to children's children,

Ps.103.14-17

 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Heb.13.8

(I accidentally pushed delete, but it was recoverable. Such a picture …we are recoverable to God)
