 Continually….Psalm 105…

Psalm 105’s subtitle is “Tell of His wondrous Works” …and starts with …

“Oh give thanks to the Lord; 

call upon his name;make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him;tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name;let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! 

Seek the Lord and his strength;seek his presence continually! Remember the wondrous works that he has done,his miracles, and the judgments he uttered, O offspring of Abraham, his servant,children of Jacob, his chosen ones!”

Ps.105.1-6

Speaking to the Israelites…and then goes into the saving of Israel from Abraham through Moses…a simplified history…a listing of all that the Lord had done for this nation over the years ending in the promised land..a land that was prepared for them, not by their own hands….

Ending with…” Praise the LORD!”…

There are times when we can look back, after the fact…and see God’s saving grace in our lives…those moments…saying . “Wow, God really worked that out….or, if that had not happened, then… or

a multitude of events working for us” even through the hard times…we can see Him working  on our behalf and  we won’t see the true picture of His hand on our lives until we, too, get to the “promised land” which He is, even now, preparing for this who believe… not prepared with humans hands as the promised land of old, but by the very Creator who fashioned the world with care…

 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and I will take you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also. 

John.14.2-3

I love that word, “continually “….not only from man’s side but God’s…

 Seek the Lord and his strength;seek his presence continually! Remember the wondrous works that he has done,his miracles and the judgments he uttered,

1Chr.16.11-12

 But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you;may those who love your salvation say continually, “Great is the Lord!”

Ps.40.16

  Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;your walls are continually before me.

Isa.49.16

 And the Lord will guide you continuallyand satisfy your desire in scorched placesand make your bones strong;and you shall be like a watered garden,like a spring of water,whose waters do not fail.

Isa.58.11

 “So you, by the help of your God, return,hold fast to love and justice,and wait continually for your God.

Hos.12.6

16 Rejoice always and delight in your faith; 17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thess. 5:16-18 Amp.

 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. 

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
