Make a joyful noise…Psalm 98…
Yesterday I chose to stay at home rather than attend our church services…head cold…
Our church has a livesteam which is soooo great when you can’t attend…I appreciate that they add the whole service with the announcements, the music as well as the sermon…
And as much as I enjoy the sermons, my soul is refreshed with the music added to the Word expounded upon…
It’s like taking a sugar-coated pill, the music adds the sweetness, the pill makes you better…
So reading Psalm 98, it starts out with singing..
“Make a joyful noise” is found 6 times in the book of Psalms…
“Sing” is found 61 times…
“A psalm is a sing or poem used in worship…”

God must enjoy music and gave that appreciation to man…we have many references like…”the mountains shall clap their hands”,
There were song writers, men who blew the trumpets, Shofar, played various instruments…plus songs …We will be singing in heaven, according to the book of Revelation…
When I listen to the rustling of leaves in the trees, the gurgling of water in a stream, the waves at the beach, the songs of birds…all are songs…praise…
Thank YOU….
Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things!
His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.
The Lord has made known his salvation;he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel.
All the ends of the earth have see the salvation of our God.
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;break forth into joyous song and sing praises!
Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody!
With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!
Let the sea roar, and all that fills it;the world and those who dwell in it!
Let the rivers clap their hands;let the hills sing for joy together before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.
Ps.98.1-9
