Many parts, one body....

Many parts, one body....

For those of us who have fibromyalgia ,it is a blatant reminder that our body is one Whenever we  have the opportunity to have something worked on....whether a massage or a medical procedure....good or bad... .if one part hurts, it all hurts and conversely, it all rejoices if it is well with no pain..

But aside from the physical body, it is a wonderful reminder how our spiritual/church body should work...if one is hurting another has the opportunity to lift up...and if one is rejoicing, others can rejoice with it....as we grown in empathy and care for one another....

We can pray for, serve, bear with, lift up, encourage,  one another...

I thank ?god each day for those around who encourage, pray for me and I work on doing that for others as well...

Thank YOU sending others to build up, pray for the body of
Christ ..remind me and others how important it is...even if it is "just" arrows of prayer shot for the heart...help me to be in the attitude of praying or helping those around me In the body as well as others, seeking...

1 Corinthians 12:24-27
New International Version (NIV)
24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

Ephesians 4:16
From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Ephesians 5:29-30
New International Version (NIV)
29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body...

Colossians 3:
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
