Give them wings...

Give them wings....

There is a book out, written several years ago, Give them wings, letting go of Your children....,

Prepare them for going out Into the big world...   I don't know if we did it right or wrong, but they are all launched...yeah.  Drivers ed is over, and we are still alive and my husband did a great job of teaching each one with only minor mishaps along the way...
They all can cook, clean, wash their own clothes, do their own taxes...pay their own bills,,,now they have families or careers of their own and they are ready to read the book...giving their lives, children wings....

Flying is kind of like that...we wait for the call to board, get ready and wait again to be seated, buckle up, get the instructions, roll out to the tarmac, roll down the runway,  then start the assent, then level off an fly through the skies to the next airport....

Some rides are bumpy, the Tarmac may be bumpy, the take off smooth or bumpy..
We can engage with the fight, or not...the pilot is the driver..and. He tales care of us...

Just like parents, we guide along, give the instructions again and again and somewhere along the way, our children know the drill by heart...they ride along, sometimes bumpy, sometimes not..but the path is clear ..most of the time.  There mayBe some storms to weather..., seat cushions to hanging to...to float..and survive..
Some snacks thrown in and meals along the way...the children are usually trusting we parents to get them to the destination. As we trust the pilot...

Giving others wings, the grace to be themselves, grow,  the follow that path that God has set can be difficult, easy, ....but oh so needful....we all grow, we all fly....

Thank You for growth in our lives .....Grace extended,   Help me to extend as well...wings to soar, lessons to learn,,,

Deuteronomy 6: 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

1 john 5:2
This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.

Ephesians  4:15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

Jesus calling
January 27

Trust is a golden pathway to heaven. When you walk on this path, you live above your circumstances. My glorious Light shines more brightly on those who follow this path of Life. Dare to walk on the high road with Me, for it is the most direct route to heaven. The low road is circuitous: twisting and turning in agonizing knots. There the air hangs heavy, and dark, ominous clouds predominate. Relying on your own understanding will weigh you down. Trust in Me absolutely, and I will make your path straight.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.”
—John 14:1–2

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straigh
—Proverbs 3:5–6
