Empty.....

Empty.....

For those who have lost something or someone, there is an empty spot or hole where that person or object once resided....The object is gone, for whatever reason or that person or persons is not there anymore ......there are memories good or bad, of the lost.....we may to try fill the void with another object, other things or another person, just for the filling, or we wait for just the right thing to fill that space  or we make that negative space interesting....

In art, there is negative space....in floral work, also...the shape of the empty spot should have a form that is eye catching....like the space between pictures hung on the wall...really has a form of its own that is pleasing to the eye as well....or not...it can be aesthetically pleasing or not...just a void....

We speak of empty words, empty arguments ...words with no meaning or heart behind them...

We make empty vessels to be filled...

We have empty hearts...which are waiting to be filled with what we choose...

We have empty arms....waiting to be filled with a baby, a child, another person..a hug ... An embrace..

We have empty holes in our lives that only God can fill....if we wait .....

Sometimes we don't wait to be filled  and run ahead filling those God sized holes with the wrong things,   Denial, activities, addictions, anger or whatever WE choose...not the objects of Gods choosing.....then we fill empty yet again or we clean it out eventually waiting for God's filling...

God took the void before creation and filled it with His handy work....he still takes that void or emptiness In our lives and hearts and fills it, if we but let Him...that loneliness, that incompleteness, that hurt, that lostness, that emptiness, that hole....He fills with Himself....making it wonderful to see, touch and feel....alive again...light again...not empty....our emptiness filled....

He filled Naomi's emptiness... To being her back to Her land...
he used Gideon's empty jars to defeat an enemy...
He filled the widow's empty jars for provision...
His word never comes back empty...
He used the empty tomb to show resurrection....

So much emptiness just waiting to be filled with Himself...

Thank YOU, that you take the emptiness and fill it with yourself, your word, your radiance....no other filling is comparable to You ....help others and myself  to look to You as the ultimate filler of empty spaces....that are pleasing both to the heart and life itself....
