Quilts and pieces....

A friend of my mothers just sent me three beautiful quilt tops made of fabrics we found in my mother's sewing supplies...plus more scraps that she didn't use. Such a variety of fabrics pieced together to a make a beautiful whole quilt.  All are totally different...but uniquely whole...each piece of material adds to the charm of the whole quilt top.   Plus three....for three great grand daughters.....is that an accident ....hardly.....and she didn't even know...but again God orchestrated it....putting into her mind...three.....

So now i am looking for someone to complete the task of putting on the backing and quilting each top to the back with those big quilting machines .....so that they are whole and completed......

It made me think of the Israelites entering the promised land.  God assigned each tribe a portion, but they were a whole nation to work and live together...

Or building the tabernacle In the wilderness, so many workers, putting together a complete worship center....each with their job to do....

Or the whole zoo of animals on the ark....all were different, but they must have gotten along okay so that we now have a lot of animals that populate the earth...

Or the mystery of the  trinity in the Godhead,  God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit , three in one....different in functions, but all one in the whole.....

Or being  in heaven together, all believers brought together for worship , singing praises together....I wonder if we will sing in our native languages or all in same language....but In unity of purpose....worship

Or, in the New Testament, Paul and others talk about the unity of believers in the church....unity .....it looks so good.....there is beauty in unity.....

Thank you for friends who care, the unity it brings, showing us of their love for one another...Your love.....the beauty of unity in all times, through out the lives of man....in the future...
