Fall color and beyond....

Fall Colors....and beyond....

The fall colors are showing all their glory right now.....autumn has come quickly and early.

When I think of fall colors, I think of richness....depth....comfort...I like to wear them, I like to see them...I have them in my house....wardrobe....I am drawn to people who wear them as well...
When I helped with weddings, my favorite were the fall weddings with the fall colors...even though all the others were lovely as well...

Spring colors are newness, pastels, baby colors, beautiful In their own way.  To me, they speak of beginnings, with the pale shades ready for growth....softness, that you want to cuddle in .....

Winter colors are vivid to block out the coldness of the season...with Christmas colors of red and green, which when mixed, turns to brown . And Brown seems to be the color of the outdoors in winter unless it snows into whiteness , crispness, cold....

Summer has mature spring colors..real greens, yellows,  blues....

But, then I come back to autumn colors...the depth before the death and fading away, getting ready for the brown of winter....the preparation for winter sleep,...the things go dormant to prepare for the newness of spring....

Such a cycle....all ordained, planned out for our enjoyment....our lives....picture of life, death and resurrection......

Thank You for your beauty again shown in nature as a reminder of the cycles of life...Your life for us.....the seasons that You planned...for growth....rest.....newness, depth...the richness, comfort of Your word....it never ceases to give light...life....time after time....season after season....

Leviticus 26:4
I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.

Psalm 1:3
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

Psalm 104:19
He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
[ A Time for Everything ] There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

Song of Songs 2:12
Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.

Jeremiah 5:24
They do not say to themselves, ‘Let us fear the Lord our God, who gives autumn and spring rains in season, who assures us of the regular weeks of harvest.’

Daniel 2:21
He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

Acts 14:17
Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”
