Two year olds....

Two year olds.....

I have raised several two year olds...either birth, adopted or foster....they are an adventure, especially the second born two year olds....

More adventurous, more rebellious, more outspoken, more stubborn, seek to outdo their older siblings, "anything you can do and can do, too" attitude, work hard, persevere, can be peace keepers, ......I loved watching my children's personalities develop over the years..who would be what?? Which personality traits would develop into what kind of person, vocation?  God was preparing each one from the earliest  years of their lives...from the womb...

And now a second generation is coming....as a grandparent I can look over years of "experience" and see a little more of the big picture....they will turn out okay ...even with the drama of childhood...God has a plan for them...."this, too, will pass"...just give them a big hug....whether they want it or not....don't smother....they are learning to live their life as well, pushing some boundaries, decide which battles have eternal value, ....love them through it....

I see my children being parents and it is the most awesome sight, a blessing....it hard to put Into words...sure, there are hard times, tears, anger, joy, laughter, just like we had...everyone is growing-parents, children and even grandparents ....watching that next generation come into their own....love just deepens....

Do we bring that same joy to God?  Those butterflies-to-my-stomach, love...that pride of seeing  people grow?  He created us for fellowship with Him....so I think when we are following our paths, He is joyful over us...

Thank YOU for the opportunity to see my grandchildren...to be a part of their lives...help me to know my place with them...thank you for giving me children as well...I love them all so much ....
