Last night as I attended church service, the topic was "honor your father and mother"...
How fitting, I thought as I have been sorting through my parent's life stuff...the papers, photos...on the eve of the anniversary of their passing, July 31 for my dad and August 6 for my mother...

To be honored, we should be honorable

.....but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
Ways we honor our parents

I added In my notes, we honor them by caring for their affairs, estate, stuff after their death as a good steward...honoring them to their grandchildren, great grandchildren and generations to come...
I remember telling my husband over the past ten years," don't ever let me feel guilty for not taking care of my parents " as I cared for them time and time again..."they have been honorable to me, let me choose to do the right thing for them in life and in death"...
Thank YOU again for the parents You gave to me...let me honor them in what I have done and am doing in their name....help me to be honorable to their lives, legacy...in honoring them, I am also honoring YOU, and passing that honor on to family....as a steward for them...
