Sowing And reaping......
I was going through some of my husband's notes the other day...and found the following written on a post-it-note attached to some old business paper....random to me, but he must have heard it, written it down, and attached it to the nearest thing...
"Sow a word, reap a thought,
Sow a thought, reap an act,
Sow an act, reap a destiny"
And then I had the opportunity to put it into practice....while in the outpatient portion of the hospital...waiting for a procedure.....scheduled for a particular time and they were running "late", almost four hours late....laying there hooked up, on this uncomfortable bed...so we talked to, joked with attendants, nurses, doctor, Anesthesiologist, whomever came to check on me....as the day dragged on...and night approached....
Later, in recovery, the nurse thanked us for being so patient while waiting so long.....and went on to describe other patients who weren't.....
Just said, I was thankful to have the wonderful service I did as well as having the service at all...so blessed to have the medical opportunities we do have...besides getting angry just raises your blood pressure which creates a whole new set of problems....and what does it benefit or reap?
I would rather sow in peace, laughter, care, the positives and reap a destiny of positives....who wants a negative remembrance of themselves???
Thank YOU for leaving the quiet reminder in the papers for my benefit reminding me of the destiny we sow and reap.....even in my husband's particular handwriting....a note from You and him....
