Thunder and lightning...

Thunder and lightening ...

The other night, the sunset was spectacular....reds, oranges mixed with giant thunder clouds, lightning ...i was on my way home from a meeting, took a longer route by  going to the top of a hill that over looks the whole valley with a 360 degree view. The parking was packed, cameras everywhere, looking at the lightning in the close distance, the sunset...I finally found a parking spot from someone leaving, pulled out my camera and it was dead...so just enjoyed the view without recording it...

We have had thunder and lightning a lot these past weeks...causing wildfires in it path, heavy hail storms, rain, wakefulness in the night times, anxiety for some from the noise... I love to watch them, smell the moist fresh air, watch the rainbows that form with the sun and rain, see the lighted skies, the bolts crack from sky to earth, hear the rumblings...

One of our homes was near some high mountains and the clouds would back up on the mountains and in the summer we would get many thunder and lightning shows with rainbows across the mountain tops, on the rugged rock formations...I taught  my children to enjoy the sights, the sound, the smells...of storms...

The rainbows were reminders of Gods promises...the thunderings, His voice that can penetrate the earth and our hearts, even the stillness, His waiting, His patience..the wind, the Holy Spirit...the beauty, His creation....the moisture, His feeding the land....the lightning,  His illumination of His word...

thank YOU, for the show of your great power through the storms...of life...
