My mom “mommed” many…
Today is Mother’s Day…
My mom passed away 13 years ago…it seems like eons and yesterday…
She was loved by so many…and loved so many…
She “mommed” more than just me …and she was a great mom…
I was born early in her life and left home when she was only 37…so she had time to “mom” many after that…music students, painting students, foreign exchange students(love you, Katarina), family members, friends, neighbors, traveling buddies, acquaintances…grandchildren and great grandchildren…so many and she had a great capacity for love…
My mom wasn’t perfect, none of us are…but she worked at parenting…she tried to instill Godly principles…
Thank YOU…and thank you, mom…miss you…
“Under their parenting, Jesus grew in four areas:
• He grew in wisdom (“in wisdom”)
• He grew in strength (“in stature”)
• He grew in spirituality (“favor with God”)
• He grew in relationships (“favor with man”)
As a mother, what are your ultimate goals for your children?
If your goal is for your children to grow in wisdom, strength, spirituality, and relationships, then you won’t be settling. For, if your children grow in wisdom, strength, spirituality, and relationships, then your children will grow up to be more like Jesus.
That’s a great checklist for moms. Christlikeness is the greatest goal a mom could ever have for her children.
