Airports and big cities.....

Airports and big cities.....

Yesterday, I spent the day at airports, in airplanes, on freeways in big cities....one of our modern ways of transportation and commerce..

I watched the thousands of people making their way to various appointments, cities, using a multitude of languages, all types of traveling garb, skin colors.....exchanging, buying, eating, drinking, gathering of information, comforting the young and the old...living life  while moving from one place to another ....we were confined to seats on airplanes, taxis, shuttles, moving walkways, terminals...all the while going about the business of life...busyness...

It made me ponder the movement of people over the span of thousands of years...

Adam and Eve leaving the garden...
Noah transporting his family and animals in a huge boat...
Abraham moving his family to the promised land...
Joseph changing lifestyles to ultimately save his nation...
Moses leading a nation across the desert...
Paul on his missionary trips...
The great cities of ancient times...
The migration of various people groups down through the ages on all the continents...
The explorers finding "new" lands....
Jesus walking to serve so many.....
The provisions and transportation needed to make so many life changes....

We all have a lot on common, the need for flexibility in life...food, transportation, safety, a call, encouragement along the way...new discoveries...

Thank YOU for Your watchcare over the many years of your creation...the help You have given, the direction, the Savior who has walked with us ...lived with us ....the Holy Spirit who lives in us as we tread through time...

Genesis 12:6 Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem. At that time the Canaanites were in the land.

Genesis 41:46 Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from Pharaoh’s presence and traveled throughout Egypt.

Judges 19:17 When he looked and saw the traveler in the city square, the old man asked, “Where are you going? Where did you come from?”

Mark 1:39 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

Luke 8:1 [ The Parable of the Sower ] After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him,

Acts 15:3 The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria, they told how the Gentiles had been converted. This news made all the believers very glad.
