Fog...

Fog...

One thing you don't want to see on a fall colors and site seeing tour is fog....all of the sudden the world around you becomes so small, there are no trees, mountains ....the roads are shorter, the boundaries are abrupt, and you feel confined...boxed in....or sheltered....

But, you know there is sunshine on the other side and hopefully the fog will burn off to open up the views, the walls, the roads.....the sun shining on the world gloriously ......

Thankfully, that is what happened...the yellows, oranges and reds shown with brilliance...the mountains sparkled, unveiled out of the mist, majestically showing off all of their 13,000+ feet, granite and snow ruggedness... Cleaned after the rain the day before...

We are but a vapor as well....I have a hard time with that sometimes...We are but a mist that appears for a little while and then disappears..but when you look over the thousands of years of people, that is what it is...we sometimes want life to last  forever  and it does in a different dimension ...as we who believe in Christ pass into  eternity....to see the gloriousness that awaits, the sparkling gates, lighted with the very presence of God...no fog preventing sight.....

James 4:14
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanish.

Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.
Joel 2:23 NIV

Hosea 13:3 Therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears, like chaff swirling from a threshing floor, like smoke escaping through a window.

Jesus calling-September 20

Try to see things more and more from My perspective. Let the Light of My Presence so fully fill your mind that you view the world through Me. When little things don’t go as you had hoped, look to Me lightheartedly and say, “Oh, well.” This simple discipline can protect you from being burdened with an accumulation of petty cares and frustrations. If you practice this diligently, you will make a life-changing discovery: You realize that most of the things that worry you are not important. If you shrug them off immediately and return your focus to Me, you will walk through your days with lighter steps and a joyful heart. When serious problems come your way, you will have more reserves for dealing with them. You will not have squandered your energy on petty problems. You may even reach the point where you can agree with the apostle Paul that all your troubles are light and momentary, compared with the eternal glory being achieved by them.

A man’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way?
—Proverbs 20:24

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
—2 Corinthians 4:17–18
