Old Faithful...

Old Faithful....

Yesterday was dedicated to seeing the geyser, Old Faithful.  Because of road closures, I drove three hours one way and four hours coming back to see the famous natural landmark, along with thousands of other visitors....and i saw it blow twice, about 90 minutes apart...there is a big board there that says how long, approximately,  before it blows again, give or take 10 minutes.....

Over the years, the time between the spouting has changed with various earthquakes that continually hit the area....but Old Faithful  still regularly spouts to enjoyment of millions of people from all over the world...

Faithfulness is a trait that I value...something or someone you can count on...trustworthy....I want my car to work...my lights to turn on...my family to be there...or I to them ....but most of all I want that trait in God, in who I have but my faith....I trust...his unfailing love...His faithfulness to see me through...even His timeliness...in all of life...

Again and again YOU bring reminders of Your character...through Your Word, through Your magnificent creation...thank You...

Psalm 13:5 -6
But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6 I will sing the LORD’s praise,
for he has been good to me.

In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
—Psalm 5:3

Psalm 16
1Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge.

2 I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.”
3 I say of the holy people who are in the land,
“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
4 Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.
I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
or take up their names on my lips.

5 LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
