The sin within…

 The sin within….

The book of Hebrews is hard, but amazing…

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people.
Heb.4.14-16,Heb.5.1-3

I am not a confrontational person…I have had to do it, being a parent requires that…I have to confront myself after much reflection and conviction by the Holy Spirit-daily, I have seen how it works with Matthew 18 several times and it can be grizzly and brutal and/or highly growth building…both for the church and the individuals…
We have seen over the years churches disintegrate, pastors fall, reputations ruined, generations hurt from the sin within…all because we all sin, we are not exempt just because we pass through the church doors…

Paul claimed he was the chief sinner, Peter was called out…writers of portions of our Bible…
Sin started in the garden and has not gone away…we have the same enemy that tempted Adam and Eve, we have our own lusts and persuasions to face every day…
Paul confronted the church about sin within as he wrote various letters…and restoration …

But, we have Jesus, who tempted, did not sin…who forgives…

Thank YOU…

This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Rom.3.22-26

I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Rom.6.19-23

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?
Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
2Cor.13.5,11

I need thee every hour..
