Shocked…sickened…
I have been trying out a fun project with resin and glass…this morning I wanted to see some other ideas, projects that others were doing…typed in what I thought was the website….
But, it wasn’t…wow, did I get an eyeful…I felt disgusted, violated, sickened and quickly deleted that site and found the correct site…much better pictures…
Several years ago, one of my sons was looking for car parts online…we were looking through the site at various parts for sale and all of the sudden, other images started pouring in, not car parts…we quickly turned off the computer and walked away, saddened and disgusted that we had been ambushed with porn…
As I was reading Hebrews this morning, these verses popped out…
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.
Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Heb.4.12-16
“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight “….uncovered, laid bare, give account…all these hit my mind as I thought about the earlier encounter with the accidental site…I don’t want those things in view for me or anyone…I want my mind filled with the good…the pure…the noble…His Word, His songs…
