The freeze is coming…
Yesterday, I went out and picked all of my flowers from the second crop of plants…freezing nights are forecast…so I thought I would enjoy the flowers better inside rather than outside shriveled…just one minute thing to do getting ready for freezing weather…not a very serious and earth-shattering chore…
One of my morning verses of the day…
“ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed..”
Joel.2.1
Then Peter reiterates…
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be laid bare.
2Pet.3.10
Then my reading was Hebrews 2…
Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. For since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution, how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard, while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
Heb.2.1-4
It behooves us to not neglect that “great salvation “…
I don’t know if the end is near, only God knows the hour, the day…in light of world happenings, many want Jesus to return…it would make it easier on the saints…to skip the bad stuff …
On the other hand, have all that need to hear, heard…my mind goes back to a view of a wall in the Museum of the Bible…empty books, each representing people groups who have not heard the Word or have a Bible or even a portion of the Bible in their mother tongue….so many yet…
Many untold good news stories are happening across the world even in the midst of wars and rumors of wars…God is alive and well…his Word is still reaching millions via any means possible…it cannot be stopped…
“ …..on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Matt.16.18b
As the freeze is coming or more importantly, the day of the Lord…we don’t want to neglect a great Salvation only found in the Lord Jesus Christ…the most important decision ever made…
