The weather changed this week....from the warm days came a slight breeze, turning into windy days, blowing the some of fall leaves off of their branches, baring the trees into barren twigs lifting their arms to the sky....then the light rain came softly readying the earth for the fall....the beautiful colored leaves littering the ground.....time to do those fall garden clean up projects.....it will either go into more fall weather or turn into winter.....depends on what The Lord has decided....
I worked in the yard yesterday, trimming, spreading out new bark, cutting down bushes, cutting back all of the spent lilies, filling a garbage can with cuttings, limbs, grass....not leaves yet, still more to fall...then came into the house and soaked in a hot tub of water...as the rain started to fall softly.....
This fall has been so nice...mild days with a touch of briskness in the mornings...each day a blessing....even with people ....coming off of a busy summer, settling into fall, busy still, but replenished from harvest of time in the summer....readying for the winter months....the faithfulness of The Lord, thankfulness for each new day...joy....the harvest.....new Bible studies, fall activities in their season....
Thank YOU that you have given us the seasons, each to enjoy...that You are faithful, providing rain to replenish....Your kindness to our hearts....in preparation for the winter months that lie ahead...Your harvest of righteousness, Your words settling Into our hearts for the coming days....help me to store them up.....remembering Your care, provision.....in its season....

13 So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— 14 then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. 15 I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.
Deuteronomy 32:2 Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
Job 5:10 He provides rain for the earth; he sends water on the countryside.

James 5:7 [ Patience in Suffering ] Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.
