Christian radio ....

Christian radio stations....

In the early 1970's, I heard my Christian radio programing...oh, I can remember hearing southern Gospel music when I was a small child on the radio, but just a few songs...but, not programing, speakers, praise music, on a continual basis...I had the various speakers on everyday, absorbing their teachings, the words of encouragement to a young mother wandering into parenthood and marriage...

Many of those speakers have gone to be with their Comforter, Counselor now and many of those ministries have changed, totally disbanded or aren't as prevalent as before....I learned about parenthood, a deeper walk with God, money matters, music which spoke to my heart, day by day in the Bible, so many things, from men and women of God who spoke truth to my heart and soul...

Driving miles and miles and then flying miles and miles, I find I am still connected with Christian radio almost everywhere I go.   I can listen to a variety of Christian music, some speakers.....even to the outer limits of Mongolia, the third world countries, if they have some sort of transmitter and receiver...God's word goes out...

I remember when we gave our first support to the first Christian  radio station coming to us out in the desert town where we lived...we were thrilled to be a part of that movement and building and it still exists, 36 years later...having grown throughout the area to reach thousands more....from one little translator to many...

Now, I find my children and grandchildren listening  and supporting radio ministries wherever they live as well, so the baton has passed....it is heartwarming to see and and hear...God speaks .....and continues  down another two generations....

Thank YOU that You have used Christian radio as one way to proclaim Your Word to the nations as well as to my heart.  Please continue to do so in the passing of time, and that the  enemy would not have his way in thwarting it.

Psalm 119:33 Teach me, LORD, the way of your decrees,
that I may follow it to the end.
34 Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law
and obey it with all my heart.
35 Direct me in the path of your commands,
for there I find delight.
36 Turn my heart toward your statutes
and not toward selfish gain.
37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
preserve my life according to your word.
38 Fulfill your promise to your servant,
so that you may be feared.
39 Take away the disgrace I dread,
for your laws are good.
40 How I long for your precepts!
In your righteousness preserve my life.
Waw
41 May your unfailing love come to me, LORD,
your salvation, according to your promise;
