The stations of the cross...

The stations of the cross....

The church where I attend has had a display all week with the "stations of the cross"..the sanctuary torn apart, with a curtained pathway, stopping at different spots, with a devotional, scriptures, thought questions, ...leading  through the last hours of Christ's earthly life and then resurrection..

It was interesting, profound, thought provoking, convicting, heart rending, joyful, all in the space of 45 minutes....it seems there is no way to depict the real sufferings of Christ....but we have to let God work in our hearts to convict, cleanse, restore our lives to be in tune with His...and He can do it in anyway He chooses....whether through the stations do the cross, a memory, a spoken word, the written word, etc..etc..etc..He wants us to come to Him...desiring that none should perish, but have ever lasting life...

Thank You for suffering so much for the ultimate goal of restoring us to yourself..for forgiving us , loving us while we were yet sinners..giving us the opportunity of Eternal life...through belief in Jesus Christ...

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10 NIV
