Last conversations....
Two years ago today, I had my last conversation with my husband ....short.....sweet ...."i love you"....and then he went to sleep here on earth, to finish his journey to his eternal home of streets paved with gold, gates made of stone, lots of geology if he was interested.....he had spent a vapor of a lifetime here loving geology....but he also loved to visit with others, studying, analyzing, Creating...so knowing him, he is so enjoying eternity, walking those streets paved with gold so pure....nothing like the refined stuff he searched for here...visiting with friends, family, and millions of new friends, those who have gone before and coming still...
Most of us do not know when we will have those last earthly conversations...they may be in rage, anger, love, forgiveness, love, regret, blessing, hatred....a lifetime of emotions...
Biblical people are recorded in various ways,...blessing their families, begging for their families, asking for life extensions, giving over responsibilities, remorseful, rejoicing, advising, encouraging....
Jesus, while on the cross, took care of his mother, encouraged a "fellow" criminal, and proclaimed His job done, with "it is finished"....finding strength for each torturous word through the pain of cruxificition .....while the earth shook, the sun was darkened, the temple curtain rent from top to bottom...amplifying His last words...
Thank YOU again and again for loving last conversations...my husbands as well as Yours, finishing a life here to be continued in a much better place...help my words to be an encouragement to others as Your Word fills the earth....
Deuteronomy 32:44 Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. 45 When Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel, 46 he said to them, “Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. 47 They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”
John 19:25 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” 27 and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
The Death of Jesus
28 Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” 29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. 30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
