His eye is on the sparrow....

His eye is on the sparrow....

Earlier this week, early in the morning, i opened my front door to get the newspaper . There on the front porch was this tiny ball a fluff. I had to turn the light on to see what it was...a tiny baby crown sparrow, shivering in the dark and cold...I brought it in and placed it in a little box in the kitchen...it only had wing feathers....the rest was fluffy down, about the size of a Ping pong ball...it's crown was vivid orange with a stripe of yellow down the center and black on each side...

It just sat there watching, until it stopped shivering...I went about my breakfast preparation, wondering "what next"and looked around....it was gone from the box....now what and where???  Looking around, i found it had flown to top of living room drapes, perched, surveying its new realm...then it flew erratically, unpracticed until it perched again on a floral arrangement across the room...

I left to get ready for the day, coming out again later to find it in the window..caught it again and released it outside in warmer temperatures ....to fly away more practiced and warmer....

Such a small event, but a great reminder, of our worth before God who cares for all...

Thank YOU for your care through cold and shivering times...times of pain...times of joy...times of sorrow...we are inYour care through it all. ..
