Waiting…
I am reading through a 7 day devotional, called , “sitting in the still” by Jessica Hardrick…an appropriate devo for being in rehab and wanting out!
Chapters such as;in the still places, what to do when God says nothing, God is here, in His Will, Waiting on purpose, Forfeiting destiny, permission to exit…
Each chapter has been so good…there are times when we need a waiting space, self imposed, others when God puts us there to learn lessons not found anywhere else…
We may rebel, listen, run away, not listen and lose a blessing….etc…
None of our time in any place is wasted, even times when we are still…
Think of great Christian authors, Paul, Bunyon, Amy Carmichael, etc, etc..etc…their writings from still places have gone around the world, encouraging others…
Thank YOU….
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Rom.8.28
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
Jas.1.2-6,12
I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lordmore than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.
Ps.130:5-6
