Running…to and fro…
Watching small children play sports is sometimes so hilarious…
In soccer, the smiler ones, play “puddle ball”…they chase after the ball in a group…all of them racing together trying to catch the ball and move it somewhere, anywhere…
The baseball ones or t-ball, the children are dancing around the dugout, or playing in the dirt or a dozen other activities rather than watching the “game”….the one in the “outfield “ are dancing, running, sitting and sorting through the grass…watching the cows in the next field…whatever…maybe tuning into the “game” once in a while…
Watching the parents is just as fun…as they are yelling, covering their embarrassment, pacing, trying to “help” the coach or a myriad of other parent activities…
As I read the following verses…Jesus was telling of the kingdom of God……not to run to and fro looking first at this person or another…but wait for the real Son of Man…watch for the real game…don’t be drawn into other activities…
Thank YOU for the reminder to keep our eyes on YOU…
Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” And he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. And they will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!’ Do not go out or follow them.
