Matthew 13 is a parable chapter...one parable after another after another...one lesson after another...each one relates to real life in a way that is memorable, that teaches a story...sermons by the thousands or even millions have been given over the eons of time...so that we would listen and learn and take to heart God's Word...

Thank YOU, that You taught us is so many memorable ways...that Your word is open to our hearts. Help me open to it and learn...

Psalm 78:1-4 My people, hear my teaching; listen to the words of my mouth.

 I will open my mouth with a parable; I will utter hidden things, things from of old— things we have heard and known, things our ancestors have told us.

 We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. 

Matthew 13:34-35 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet:

"I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”
