The new woman...creation...
This poem was shared recently, and I finally tracked down the author before I could share it again..
A Strong Woman versus A Woman of Strength
A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…but a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape.
A strong woman isn’t afraid of anything…but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear.
A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her…but a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future...a woman of strength realizes life’s mistakes can also be God’s blessings and capitalizes on them.
A strong woman walks sure-footedly…but a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.
A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face…but a woman of strength wears grace.
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.
Sharon Samani...
It reminded me of the following verses in 2 Corinthians-
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 12:10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
As well as so many others..on whom do we really trust, from whom does our strength come from...
Psalm 121:1-8 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
I need reminding of these words, this strength-not my own, continually in my "Self-reliant" attitude that creeps in and takes over..
Thank YOU for your strength, your guidance, your blessings, your grace...
