Israel released from Egypt ...
Gomer sold as a slave...
Prisoners, hostages set free...
Woman caught in adultery...
Woman cleaning Jesus' feet with tears, oil and her hair...
Cancer free...
Each of these statements/ stories/ events have a sense of freedom from the release after being "caught" in whatever situation they were a part....
Israel released from the bondage of slavery in Egypt ....
Gomer purchased out of prostitution by her husband, Hosea ...
Prisoners / hostages set free from varying situations...
The woman caught in adultery, set free by Jesus...
The words "cancer free" after a long battle...this could be the disease is gone or the body has been released from this earthly realm....
Each has a story...caught and released...even the fishing streams where "catch and release " is the norm...
Four years ago today, my husband entered into a comma where he drew his final earthly breaths and was released from this world, from this diseased body to enter into the heavenly realm...he had been caught by cancer and was released into a perfect body, not on earth, but in heaven...
Our family was caught by disease as well only to be released into grief and a new path in our lives...to say that it was a hard journey is an understatement...the bumps have been many, but we have, by God's grace,
survived...
Israel was taken into a new land, flowing with "milk and honey" after their desert journey ...
Gomer was reunited with a loving husband...
The woman caught in adultery was set free and not stoned after facing her judges and the One who could truly set her free...
There is hope in the "release"... Freedom of sorts in each one...different..but release ...Grace...a future...in God's hands...
Thank YOU...only You can release us from our bondages to whatever direction you have for us...
John 8:3-11 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery.
They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.
In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.
When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.
Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
“No one, sir,” she said.“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
Hosea 3:1 The Lord said to me, “Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another man and is an adulteress. Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes.”
