Columbia 4....smiles....

Columbia 4
Smiles...

I love smiles...I love them on all ages of people ....from babies to the  aged and all the in between....the delights of people for whatever reason...the real deep down, heartfelt smiles of joy and delight that touched the soul through and through...

When I think of Columbia, that is what I think about...the smiles, the delight, the joy of people...though the people we visited live in different circumstances, have very little compared to most Americans, they are joyful and appreciative of the simple gifts we gave...

Their faith is exemplified in that joy, those smiles...unencumbered by "stuff" which we hold dear...

It makes me think of the picture I have in mind of Jesus and the children...I see his smile, his delight in their presence...taking them into his arms, speaking truth into their hearts...looking at their parents with encouragement ...a loving Savior....delighting in their belief...offering them the kingdom...as He does to all...

I can see Him smiling when he offered them food at the last supper or on the beach after their fishing trip...or when he told them parables on the hillside... walked along the Emmaus road....when he healed...when he welcomes us home...smiles...deep down love...delight...

Thank YOU....

Matthew 19:13-15 Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

Numbers 6:22-26 The Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites.
Say to them: “‘“The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’

Psalm 147:11 the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.

Proverbs 8, wisdom...

Jeremiah 9:23-24 This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.
