Good?…Friday…?

 Good ? Friday …?

Reading Hebrews 11, the “faith” chapter and adding the “therefore” in chapter 12…

We watched “The Passion” movie in the theater when it came out years ago…dead silence at the end as we filed out…

My husband had the privilege to show the move, “the Jesus Film” based on the book of Luke in Mongolia for a part of a summer…

I got to around a small piece of the Yucatán Peninsula,  showing the film to villagers…

Have watched others watch the movie…

When the drama of the crucifixion, the horribleness of it hits the screen, people are stunned, crying for the man who bore the pain, the agony….

it is hard to process the “good”….

We need the “therefore”…

 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Heb.12.1-2

 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
