No charges…

 

No charges…

One time I was stopped by a county sheriff….but he had no charges against me…just wanted to see how one of my daughters was as we had just been released from ER ( he went to our church) …but those flashing lights sure raised my “alarm” level….

I thought of this as I was reading this passage in Acts…as Christians, we have been forgiven of all our sins…that is a promise when we come to him…what a wonderful promise…

 So on the next day Agrippa and Bernice came with great pomp, and they entered the audience hall with the military tribunes and the prominent men of the city. 

Then, at the command of Festus, Paul was brought in. 

And Festus said, “King Agrippa and all who are present with us, you see this man about whom the whole Jewish people petitioned me, both in Jerusalem and here, shouting that he ought not to live any longer. 

But I found that he had done nothing deserving death. And as he himself appealed to the emperor, I decided to go ahead and send him. 

But I have nothing definite to write to my lord about him. 

Therefore I have brought him before you all, and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that, after we have examined him, I may have something to write. 

For it seems to me unreasonable, in sending a prisoner, not to indicate the charges against him.”

Acts.25.23-27

 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity,and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

Ps.32.1-2

 as far as the east is from the west,so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

Ps.103.12

 He will again have compassion on us;he will tread our iniquities underfoot.You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Mic.7.19

 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. 

In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Eph.1.4-8,Eph.1:11-14

 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Col.2.13-14
