Two is better than one….

 Two is better than one…

I thought I was prepared for this surgery and I was to a certain extent, but…more things to learn, as usual…the verse that keeps coming out is “two are better than one”….so true…but need to take care of the everyday things for awhile…

So to those who become “one-armed” a few hints…

Easy to pull-on, pull-off comfortable clothes, no buttons, zippers…

Utilize friends, Family….

Precooked/prepackaged meals…

Lightweight things into microwave, stove…

Paper plates/plastic ware…

Drive carefully…

Keep up on meds for pain…

Get the right equipment…(waterproof covers to bathe in)

No pity parties…

My hardest-give myself some slack, no everything gets tight lids, made beds, put away, etc… ASAP

Slow down, take time to heal…

Etc…

And there are YouTube instructions for a lot, things the doctors didn’t say anything about…

Etc….more in YouTube…

Then, of course I had to look up scripture with the word “two” in it…over 600….from Genesis to Revelations…

Starting with “two great lights” and ending with “two thrown in the fire”….but so many verses with “two” in them…so interesting and teaching…important…from creation to the end…

Caring, provision, convicting, marriage, warning…

Thank YOU for your daily lessons…through life experiences and your Word….

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over. And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Matthew 14:17-21

Matthew 18:20

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Matthew 22:37-40

And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”

Mark 12:42-44

Now when Herod was about to bring him out, on that very night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries before the door were guarding the prison. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands. When Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.”
