My mushroom...

My mushroom...

I just finished a project of a mosaic mushroom...I have never done anything like it before...

We arrived at our class, to see a variety of gray, concrete mushrooms sitting on tables with other tables filled with tiles of all colors, beads, buttons...a variety of design elements..

We were able to choose the style of mushroom and then proceeded to create our designs on the mushrooms, followed by choosing the tiles, etc which we wanted to use..,gluing these to the mushroom...this was followed a week later with grouting, polishing and finally sealing our "work of art"...

We took something common and plain and made it into something beautiful...for display wherever we choose...each one as unique as the creator...

We do this in life multiple times...fixing meals, designing and filling our homes, crafting, writing...taking something basic and turning it into something special...

In life we are the clay with which God works, He fashions us into works of art...showing his glory in our lives...through the good times and the bad...He is there molding, designing...fashioning, displaying Himself...using our weaknesses to show his strength...our commonness to show His  personal designs...thank YOU...that you can use me for your glory ....

Isaiah 64:8 Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Jeremiah 18:2-4 “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.”
So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

Romans 9:21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

2 Timothy 2:20-21 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.
