Brothers...

Brothers....

Psalm 133:1-3 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe.
It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.

Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! AMP

1 John 4:20-21 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.
And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

1 John 4:20-21 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates (works against) his Christian brother he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should also unselfishly love his brother and seek the best for him. AMP

These two sets if verses came bounding off the pages this morning as I read...I had just been thinking about the upcoming inauguration of the newly elected president for our nation...
I don't remember any more hotly contested race for the White House or more disrespect  shown for the opposing parties, more division, more disenchantment, more "after" anger....more whatever...than this race...it has shown a general disregard for the beliefs of others and shown our penchant for selfishness and sin that exists in all of mankind...

It seems likes whomever was elected will face a very tough time in leading our nation...in a world that has become more wicked, "wars and rumors of wars", more pleasure seeking, more self seeking...the attitudes that have been here since the beginning only exaggerated by fast communication ...

This is a time to pray for the government, support the good..fight the battles with the armor of God...love those brothers...work for one another and not against...build up one another, encourage...work for right...godly ideals...bring God into it...not ignoring his counsel...peace, comfort...and  even judgment ....humbling ourselves before Him...not be drawn the foolish paths...

Thank YOU...help us to live in unity...as brothers and sisters  known by our love....Your love...
