Rain...in the night...

Rain....

Last night the rain came....had a hard time sleeping as the rain gutter is outside my bedroom....but the rain sounded nice and will help those crops to grow, as well as bring the spring weeds...

Can you imagine what it was like with no vegetation...no rain....the barrenness in the beginning...?

Genesis 2:5a
Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth......

Or this verse.....that is what it is like this morning, the air is crystal clear with brilliant sunshine....after the rain...

2 Samuel 23:4
he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth.’

There are numerous references to rain throughout the Bible...some negative and others, positive...

I so appreciate the positive ones...the ones holding promises, provision ....care for us ....the earth....especially in the season when we are in drought conditions in different parts of the country...

I appreciate His promises of faithfulness, supplying our needs...it may through rain or other paths...never to leave us or forsake those whom He loves....

Thank YOU for the rain, the brilliance after the rain, whispers of care as the winds blow, the weather that You have created for our good use....

Job 5:10
He provides rain for the earth; he sends water on the countryside.

Psalm 147:8
He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills.

Hosea 6:3
Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”

Joel 2:23
Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.

Zechariah 10:1
[ The Lord Will Care for Judah ] Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.

Matthew 5:45
that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
