Thank You troops for all you do…

I was reading about some of the American Japanese during World War Two…in context to many who remained  faithful through the brutality that they faced just because they were Japanese…

I know I have said this before…but will repeat it again…

My father was in high school in central California when the war was raging…farm kids, town kids, all races, sizes and shapes, rich, poor…he told the story of coming to school one day and all of the Japanese students were missing…he cried every time he told that story…his friends, classmates were gone and sent away to the interment camps…most he never saw again…

We face Memorial Day celebrations this weekend…we thank  those who serve with faithfulness, courage…those who serve both God and country…

Thank YOU…

Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous:“The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!

The Lord’s right hand is lifted high;the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”

I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.

The Lord has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death.

Open for me the gates of the righteous;I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.

This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter. I will give you thanks, for you answered me;you have become my salvation.

Ps.118.1521

Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Ps.124.8

We wait in hope for the Lord;he is our help and our shield.

In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.

May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.

Ps.33.20-22

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Ps.121.1-2
