Everything….?….

 Everything…..?….

I was reading our women’s Bible study book this am. The chapter was on kindness and goodness.  Near the end, the author shared the 10th verse of 1 Peter 4. I had to read on to capture the rest of the thought…it included the word, “everything “…
That word is so descriptive…in the ESV translation, it appears 135 times, so I had to find a few of those verses…everything means everything, not partial, or a few, or something incomplete…but the the whole…

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1Pet.4.10-11

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Col.3.14, 17

A few “everythings”….such ramifications…the completeness…nothing lacking…

And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind.
And God saw that it was good.
And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
Gen.1.25,30, 31

The hail struck down everything that was in the field in all the land of Egypt, both man and beast. And the hail struck down every plant of the field and broke every tree of the field. Only in the land of Goshen, where the people of Israel were, was there no hail.
Exod.9.25-26

“Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. You shall not add to it or take from it.
Deut.12.32

“God understands the way to it,and he knows its place.
For he looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.
When he gave to the wind its weight and apportioned the waters by measure, when he made a decree for the rain and a way for the lightning of the thunder, then he saw it and declared it;
he established it, and searched it out.
And he said to man,‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,
and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”
Job.28.23-28

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!Praise the Lord!
Ps.150:6

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
Eccl.3.11

I will bring upon that land all the words that I have uttered against it, everything written in this book, which Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations.
Jer.25.13

Then Peter said in reply, “See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?”
Matt.19.27

Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,
Luke.24.44-45

Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you.
For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.
John.17.7-8

The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.
Acts.17.24-25

Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.
For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phil.3.8-10Phil.4.6-7

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Heb.13.20-21

Thank YOU….

God of my everything….
