Decisions, decisions…

 Decisions, decisions….

We all, the world over, get the choice to choose who Jesus is in our lives, in some fashion and what we will do with that decision…will we become Jesus followers, or is he just a good man or prophet…a good teacher…

From the Word, we read that He loved us before we loved him, that he came to die that we might live, …but not everyone agrees…some have hardened hearts toward his teachings…

I am no theologian so I don’t understand all the ins and outs of the choices, I just know at some point we need to decide what we will do with Jesus…

And in these passages, Jesus asks his disciples…but as we read them…He is asking us as well. What will we do with Jesus??? What will our decision be?

After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”

John.6.66-69

Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.

Matt.16.13-17

And Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” And they told him, “John the Baptist; and others say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, “You are the Christ.”

Mark.8.27-29

Now it happened that as he was praying alone, the disciples were with him. And he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” And they answered, “John the Baptist. But others say, Elijah, and others, that one of the prophets of old has risen.” Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”

Luke.9.18-20
