Listening.....

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
—John 10:27

Psalm 90:12-17 

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Relent, Lord! How long will it be?

Have compassion on your servants. 

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. 

Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble. 

May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children. May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;

establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands. 

I want to hear God's voice, listening....through the roar of the world...

Teaching these things...to number my days that I would gain a heart of wisdom.....when to speak and not to speak...when to do and not to do...

I want that satisfying with His unfailing love,  So that I can sing for joy and be glad all my days...

I want to see His deeds, His splendor ...

I want that favor of the Lord,....

And I want that establishment of the work of our hands...

And that compassion...oh that compassion...when all around falls...and fails...

To dwell in the shelter of the most high....rest in Him, my fortress and refuge...

To be under His protection, in times of trouble...where everything is filtered through His hand before touching me...where everything is meant for good ...not evil...

I have no idea how this all works...really ...I just know that these are promises made to us by a Faithful, powerful, victorious God who created us for fellowship, who loves us so much, who died for us, who rose for us, who intercedes for us, who comes for us, who speaks to us, who lives in us...

There is no other to compare ...or would we want a lessor god...thank YOU for who You are ...and to whom I belong...
