As I was driving home yesterday, I realized again how much the road is the same as when I first started driving it 46 years ago...the building along it are the same, the fields are basically the same...each curve is the same, just a little bit more traffic...and yesterday the antelope had congregated together rather little groups here and there in the giant alfalfa fields.....the drive is consistently the same....

God is consistent....He works in our lives....for our good....there may be a few surprises along the way, but the focus is the same...glorifying Him...we are or I am (hopefully) developing a more and more Christlike character in this journey of life....

I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him. And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.
